Carrier analysis in haemophilia A affected family by linkage. The analyzed polymorphic loci order is shown in the box. The mother is heterozygous for four loci (Intron 13 and 22, Hind III and Bcl 1). The proband (II-1) and two female sibs (II-2 and II-3) inherited b haplotype linked with the disease while third female sib inherited haplotype c. Therefore, two female sibs are carriers. (+ & signs represent presence and or absence of restriction site in the PCR product. 1 and 2 allele in Intron 13 and 22 depicts longer and shorter repeat sequences of amplified products. Three different haplotypes based on the above analysis are arbitrarily assigned as a, b and c.)
