Effect of lidocaine on mean pulmonary artery pressure. Percent change in pulmonary arterial pressure between pre-ischaemia and post-ischaemic reperfusion (n=6). Lungs in the control group were perfused for a total period of 70 min. Lungs in the ischaemia group were perfused for 10 minutes which constiute the preischaemic period and followed by a 60 minutes of ischaemia and 10 minutes of reperfusion. * p< 0.0001 compared to ischaemia-reperfusion lungs; ** p< 0.0001 compared to control group.
